This Bible study follows the same stories as our children’s Sunday school, helping us to learn the Bible across generations. No registration; stop by when you can.\nSeptember 27 – The Tower of Babel\n“Let us make a name for ourselves.” The people of Babel set out to build a city and a tower that would reach the heavens. This Sunday, we’ll explore this fascinating story of ambition, pride, and human community, and consider what it means to build a life that is rooted in God rather than ourselves. (Genesis 11:1–9)\nOctober 4 – Abraham and his Adventures with God\nGod calls Abraham to leave behind everything familiar and set out for a place yet unseen. Along the way, Abraham experiences promise and uncertainty, joy and heartbreak, doubt and remarkable faith. This Sunday, we’ll follow Abraham’s journey and reflect on what it means to trust God one step at a time. (Genesis 12:1–9; 15:1–21; 21–22)\nOctober 18 – The Passover and Exodus\nGod hears the cries of an enslaved people and acts to set them free. This Sunday, we’ll follow Israel’s journey from Egypt through the waters of the sea and discover why the Exodus became the defining story of God’s faithfulness for generations to come. (Exodus 16–20, 32; Numbers 9:15–23; 11:1–15)\nNovember 8 – Building Israel, Building the Temple of God\nWhat does it mean to build a place for God? As Solomon prepares the temple in Jerusalem, we encounter a story of worship, community, and God’s abiding presence. This Sunday, we’ll explore why the temple became the heart of Israel’s life—and what it can still teach us about drawing near to God. (1 Kings 5:2–6:38; 8)\nNovember 15 – Stories of Elijah\nProphets don’t always find God where they expect. Through Elijah’s remarkable journey, we’ll encounter stories of courage, doubt, faithful witness, and God’s surprising presence. This Sunday, we’ll explore the life of one of Israel’s greatest prophets and reflect on how God continues to meet people with strength, hope, and grace. (1 Kings 16–19; 2 Kings 1–2)\n
