SUMMARY:Bishop Search Listening Sessions
DESCRIPTION:The Search Committee warmly invites you and all the members of your congregations to take part in Holy Conversations, our listening sessions as part of our search for the 13th bishop of the Diocese of North Carolina. The main purpose is to gather your thoughts, hopes, and prayers as we work to nominate a slate of candidates for bishop of this diocese, so that, in the words of the Prayer Book, "we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries."\nWe want to hear from everyone: lay people and clergy, young and old, longtime members and newcomers, and people from every size congregation and community. Your experience and your hopes for the diocese matter, and they will help shape this search.\nThe committee hopes to welcome as many voices as possible during this part of the process. Please share the invitation to the listening sessions with your congregations and ministries this Sunday, as they begin November 7. (Special note: If your congregation does not have a youth minister or leaders, please ensure your youth know about the session just for them on November 8.)\nThe full schedule of sessions can be found below, or you can view them anytime on the diocesan bishop search page of the website.\nSESSION SCHEDULE AND BISHOP SEARCH INFO\nSCHEDULE OF SESSIONS\n*All dates are 2026\nPlease note that session details are still being finalized.\nOPEN SESSIONS | Online, open to any member of the diocese | Spanish translation available\nNovember 7 (Saturday), 2-3:30 p.m. via Zoom | Register\nNovember 10 (Tuesday), 7-8:30 p.m. via Zoom | Register\nNovember 11 (Wednesday), 3-4:30 p.m. via Zoom | Register\nNovember 17 (Tuesday), 7-8:30 p.m. via Zoom | Register\nDecember 1 (Tuesday), 7-8:30 p.m. via Zoom | Register\nCONVOCATION SESSIONS | In person, open to any member of the diocese\nCHARLOTTE:\nNovember 9 (Monday), 6:30-8 p.m., Christ Church, Charlotte\nNovember 10 (Tuesday), 6:30-8 p.m., St. Alban’s, Davidson\nFOCUSED SESSIONS | Online and in person, open to members of the communities they serve\nYOUTH: November 8 (Sunday), 6-7:30 p.m. via Zoom | Register\nLGTBQ+: November 10 (Tuesday), 7-8:30 p.m. | Hybrid session\n\nIn-person: The Trees, Durham\nVia Zoom: Register\n\n
