The Good Book Daily
Signup/More Info Link
Sign up to receive a very short, inspirational Bible passage every morning with a one-sentence thought or question for reflection. We encourage you to develop a routine or spiritual practice as you read, meditate, and seek to understand how God is speaking to you through each passage.
- To receive via EMAIL: Click the “Subscribe” button on this page.
- To receive via PUSH NOTIFICATION: Download the Christ Church App from Apple, Google, or Amazon, and enable push notifications (Account settings > Notifications and toggle on “The Good Book Daily.”)
As the story of God and God’s people, the Bible can speak to you and guide you in ordinary and unexpected ways. Learning and cultivating your knowledge of the Bible is an incredible opportunity to come into God’s presence as you explore, grow, and deepen your faith. The Good Book is open to everyone! Consider inviting a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor to join you and us.

10 am – Service projects in All Saints’ Hall & others areas
11:15 am – All-Parish Lunch
All Morning – Stuff the Truck for Nourish Up
DETAILS
After worship at 8:45 am in the Church or All Saints’ Hall, all ages are invited and encouraged to participate in the continued disaster relief and recovery still happening in Western NC after Hurricane Helene. We will assemble care packages for our neighbors in Bat Cave, NC, preparing soup kits, brownie-in-a-jar, handwritten cards, and more. All materials and supplies provided. Stay for lunch afterward to connect with friends and family.
To support our Charlotte neighbors facing food insecurity, we are partnering with Nourish Up to “Stuff the Truck” on our Intergenerational Day of Service. As you are able, please bring a bag of groceries to support a local family in need. Priority needs include: canned meat, canned fruit, canned veggies, pasta, whole grain cereal, beans, rice, peanut butter, and diapers. Please note we are unable to accept items that are unsealed, expired, loose without listed ingredients, unlabeled, or in glass containers.
NOTES
11:15 am worship services will not be held so that all can join together for this important and meaningful opportunity to serve.
5 pm Holy Eucharist will be held as usual.

Would you consider helping prep and serve dinner for some of your homeless neighbors at the Men’s Shelter? Men’s Shelter of Charlotte provides disposable gloves, all serving equipment, and dinner. We serve on the 3rd Sunday and 4th Thursday of each month, and need three volunteers per shift.

Reading Between the Lines (Mondays)
This Bible study group uses the Reading Between the Lines curriculum to add to their understanding of scripture and to practice reflecting theologically on topics that arise from cultural and literary inspirations. Reading Between the Lines is open to all adults and is a deep dive into the place where the Bible’s story and our stories intersect. Please contact Scottie Stamper with questions.

Parishioners prepare casseroles every month for the Salvation Army, Men’s Shelter, Charlotte Rescue Mission, and Roof Above (formerly Urban Ministry Center). Collectively, we supply over 60 casseroles which serve 1,250 people a month. You can bake casseroles once a month (recipe provided) and/or deliver casseroles to the different locations in Charlotte. Contact John Wilkinson for the easy recipe and further instructions.
