Faith Forum: The Transformative Power of Music

Ben Outen and Matt Wetmore, director of the Charlotte Chamber Choir, will talk about The Transformative Power of Music.

This conversation will be drawn from the experience of a concert for choirs and orchestra presented on Friday, November 10 at 7 pm in the Church. The concert will feature Christ Church’s musical community partner, the Charlotte Chamber Choir, and the Christ Church Choir, along with some of Charlotte’s many fine instrumentalists, performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s Lobet den Herrn and Requiem by Maurice Durufle. These contrasting pieces will provide many examples of how music warms our hearts, motivates us to focused activity, and provides shared experiences out of which grows a rich and compassionate community.
