The Episcopal Church: Basics & Beyond (Adult Confirmation)

Are you new to the Episcopal Church or just want to learn more about how we love God, care for each other, and serve the world? This class is open to anyone interested in becoming confirmed, learning more about The Episcopal Church, or simply getting to know some new faces. These clergy-led classes take place in the Green Room during the Sunday 10 am School of Faith hour.

January 25, 2026: The Meaning of Salvation

February 1, 2026: Invitation and Baptism
Why was Jesus baptized by John? Why do all Christians get baptized? Join The Reverend Elizabeth Walker for this discussion of how baptism empowers us all for ministry.

February 8, 2026: Holy Eucharist
We say that God is present in the bread and wine we offer in worship. Join The Reverend Allen Pruitt to explore how making holy communion the central act of worship is an ancient practice that helps us live in our modern world.

February 15, 2026: The Bible
What is the Bible? An ancient book? The Word of God? Join The Reverend Chip Edens to explore the story of salvation in scripture and how we can learn to tell the story of God’s love when we read the Bible.

February 22, 2026: Jesus Christ and the Nature of God
Who is Jesus, and why does He matter? Join The Reverend Connor Gwin to explore the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how His story continues to shape our faith and our lives today.

March 1, 2026: Church History
