Sages Day Trip: Churches of the Frescoes

All are invited for a special day trip to West Jefferson, NC, to visit two Episcopal churches that house remarkable frescoes by renowned artist Ben Long. We will depart from the church at 9:30 am. (Please arrive no later than 9:15 am.)

After enjoying lunch in West Jefferson, we will visit St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, home to Long’s striking frescoes of Mary Great with Child, John the Baptist, and The Mystery of Faith. We will then travel to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where his powerful depiction of The Last Supper invites deep reflection. We will finish our day with the celebration of Eucharist with The Reverend Dr. Perry Hildreth. We should arrive back in Charlotte around 6:30 pm.

To make the journey comfortable and enjoyable, we have reserved a 55-passenger bus, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic ride together. We need a minimum of 35 people to make this trip possible—so gather your friends and join us for this meaningful day! The cost for the trip is $55 plus your cost for lunch.
