Current Needs in Our Community

In a season when many families are feeling the strain, the call to support our neighbors feels more urgent than ever. Find ways you can help below.

Gift Cards: As you are able, please bring gas and grocery gift cards to be distributed to neighbors in need. We recommend buying from Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Shell, Exxon, or QuikTrip. Gift cards can be brought to the front desk in the Rotunda. Thank you for helping us provide direct support to those who need it most.

Lydia’s Pantry: Shop Galilee Ministries of East Charlotte’s Amazon Wish List to deliver needed items directly to the center or bring items to the donation bin in the Rotunda.

Matthew 25 Casseroles: Bake and/or deliver casseroles once a month for the Salvation Army, Men’s Shelter, Charlotte Rescue Mission, and Roof Above.

Men’s Shelter Dinners: Prepare and serve dinner for our neighbors experiencing homelessness at the Men’s Shelter every 3rd Sunday and 4th Thursday of the month.

Room in the Inn: Every Sunday, December through March, Christ Church (along with over 100 other churches and organizations) provides emergency winter shelter for 12 unsheltered neighbors. Parishioners offer hospitality to those who have no place to call home. This is a great volunteer opportunity for families, especially those with young children.
