Sign up to receive a very short, inspirational Bible passage every morning with a one-sentence thought or question for reflection. We encourage you to develop a routine or spiritual practice as you read, meditate, and seek to understand how God is speaking to you through each passage.

As the story of God and God’s people, the Bible can speak to you and guide you in ordinary and unexpected ways. Learning and cultivating your knowledge of the Bible is an incredible opportunity to come into God’s presence as you explore, grow, and deepen your faith. The Good Book is open to everyone! Consider inviting a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor to join you and us.

This covenant Bible study group uses the Reading Between the Lines curriculum to add to their understanding of scripture and to practice reflecting theologically on topics that arise from cultural and literary inspirations. Please contact Scottie Stamper with questions.

On the first Sunday of each month, we collect diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies to support the dignity of those who cannot afford such items. We share these donations with the Diaper Bank of North Carolina, who distributes them to those in need.

You can be an essential part of this important work by picking up donations from Christ Church on the first Monday of any month and delivering them to the Diaper Bank of North Carolina. If you are interested, click the Sign Up button to volunteer!

This year we will explore the story of God’s love from “In the beginning” to “a new heaven and a new earth.” Participants will receive a written guide with a daily reading plan and questions for reflection. In addition, there will be a weekly opportunity for fellowship and facilitated discussion in the Green Room or online. Register (no cost) using the link on this page, or contact Scottie Stamper for more information. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with God and with each other!

With the exception of holidays, we will meet on Mondays (1 – 2 pm), January 13 – June 9. After a summer break, we will resume on August 11 and meet through November 17. Please check the calendar for specific meeting dates.

This weekly men’s Bible study, led by Hayward Morgan and Butch Robertson, meets at Panera Bread at Cotswold Village on Tuesday mornings throughout the year. The group alternates between studying a book of the Bible and other chosen books and is currently reading The Man In The Mirror: Solving the 24 Problems Men Face by Patrick M. Morley. Newcomers are welcome and encouraged to drop in at any time during the year. Come as you are.

This Reading Between the Lines group meets virtually via Microsoft Teams each Tuesday, from 8 – 9 am, September through May. The group uses the Reading Between the Lines curriculum to add to their understanding of scripture and to practice reflecting theologically on topics that arise from cultural and literary inspirations. All adults are welcome to join at any time. Please contact Charles Conner (704) 577-2682 with questions and to receive the link to the virtual meetings.

Women of all ages are invited to play Mahjong on Tuesday mornings in St. Francis A. Beginner to expert players gather for fun and fellowship. This group is all about hospitality and connection, with a little mahjong on the side. “First-timer (to Mahjong)” lessons are offered the first Tuesday of each month, with rotating volunteer teachers. Due to limited space, this gathering is limited to Christ Church members. We welcome occasional visitors who attend with a church member.

A light lunch is available to participants for $10. To ensure food is prepared for the correct number of people, registration for lunch is required by the Sunday evening before each Tuesday gathering. Lunch will not be available if fewer than seven (7) people request lunch. Please plan to pay $10 in cash or by check (payable to Christ Church) on the days you’re able to stay and enjoy lunch with your other Mahjong friends.

Friendship Trays volunteers deliver nutritious meals to elderly or infirmed individuals who are unable to obtain or prepare their own meals while also providing human connection to the isolated and lonely and peace of mind to their families.
