Freedom School Partners (FSP) believes every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading and the confidence to shape their future. Through a six-week summer program, FSP combats learning loss in Charlotte by serving K–8 students who need it most. In partnership, our mission is to inspire scholars to love reading and learning, believe in themselves, and create extraordinary futures. But we can’t do it alone. Volunteers are at the heart of Freedom School.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month, our team serves in the Free Store Production Area, where volunteers sort, inspect, and organize donated clothing, shoes, and household items. These items are stocked in the Free Store, which provides essentials to families in crisis—at no charge. This work ensures neighbors can access resources with dignity and choice as they work toward greater stability.

Worship Services | 8:45 & 11:15 am

Summer Schedule (Parish Day to Parish Day)
Sunday Worship Services | 10 am

Typical Sunday Morning Procedures
When you sign your child in, you will receive a numbered pager so we can reach you if needed. When checking in your child, please let us know if your child has any allergies or special needs. Children will be released only to an adult with the corresponding pager number.
Staffing & Volunteers
All of our nursery caregivers are trained in CPR and Safe Church policies. Our staff and Nursery Committee of Christ Church parents work to ensure your child experiences a caring and nurturing environment. They can also answer questions regarding your child’s care or other aspects of Christ Church.

Are you new to Christ Church or looking for a way to get more connected? Newcomers are invited to meet clergy, staff, and fellow parishioners after worship on the third Sundays of June, July, and August. Enjoy light refreshments, learn more about our community, discover ways to get involved, and make new connections.
Whether you’ve attended once, a handful of times, or have been worshiping with us for a while, we’d love the chance to get to know you better. Come experience the warm hospitality that is at the heart of Christ Church!

Would you consider helping prep and serve dinner for some of your homeless neighbors at the Men’s Shelter? Men’s Shelter of Charlotte provides disposable gloves, all serving equipment, and dinner. We serve on the 3rd Sunday and 4th Thursday of each month, and need three volunteers per shift.
