Red Cross Blood Donation in Memory of Katherine Lamberth

When Katherine was delivering her twin daughters, Ellyn and Mackie, on October 11, 2023, she developed life-threatening post-delivery complications. She required 7 ½ units of blood and blood products to survive. Luckily, what she needed was available only because of the generosity of blood donors.

On June 4, 2026, she died because of a tragic accident during her morning run. She adored her twin girls, and she cherished her role as “Mommy”. She impacted so many people, and she is deeply loved. Reflecting on her life, however, she would not have had over 2 ½ years with her beautiful “ladies” if it were not for the availability of blood. Donating blood is one of the easiest things to do, yet it saves so many lives! Because of donors like you, Katherine spent perhaps the best years of her life with her husband, Pell, and her daughters, Ellyn and Mackie.

In memory of Katherine, whose life was extended by the generosity of blood donors, we invite you to give in honor of those who still need that same chance. Every donation is a gift of time, love, and hope for families facing unimaginable moments.
