Christ Church Women’s Bible Study (CCWBS): The Gospel of John

The Gospel of John: The Word Became Flesh

Women of all ages are invited to gather at Christ Church on Thursday mornings to study, learn, and grow together. This winter and spring we look forward to studying the Gospel of John, which offers a profound and poetic portrait of Jesus, highlighting the divine presence revealed in the Word made flesh. Through signs and teachings, it invites all people to see Jesus as the source of life, light, and truth, offering abundant life to everyone who believes. With rich imagery, such as the Good Shepherd, the True Vine, and the Bread of Life, this gospel reveals the depth of God’s love and the call to live in relationship with the Divine. John’s gospel is an invitation to deeper faith and connection with God’s inclusive grace.

CCWBS will meet each Thursday morning, January 9 through April 10. Members of the clergy will lead the lessons from 10 – 11 am, followed by optional small group discussions from 11 – 11:45 am. The cost of the winter-spring session is $10 and includes all materials. If you are interested in co-leading a small group for discussion after the weekly lecture, please contact Scottie Stamper. We look forward to seeing you in January!
