Cookies for Kids’ Cancer Bake Sale
CCK’s annual fundraiser for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
A special part of our CCK curriculum is service. Each year, we have school-wide service projects in the Fall and in the Spring to support charities that serve children and to actively involve our CCK children and families. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer (CFKC) is a national non-profit committed to funding research grants to develop new, improved, and less toxic treatments for children battling cancer. Childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the US, yet it receives only 4% of the federal government’s cancer research budget.
At the bake sale, parents spend pretend “CCK Dollars” to “buy” the cookies from children in the 3s, 4s & K classes. Actual donations are made via Venmo prior to or on the day of the sale. Anyone can donate via Venmo @Cookies4kids and write “CCK” in the notes.
