Cookies for Kids’ Cancer Bake Sale
Christ Church Preschool and Kindergarten holds their annual bake sale for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer before and after All School Chapel.
A special part of our CCK Curriculum is service. Each year, we have a school-wide service project in the Fall and in the Spring. The goal of these service projects is to support a charity that serves children while getting our CCK children and families actively involved. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer (CFKC), a national non-profit that is committed to funding research grants to develop new, improved, and less toxic treatments for children battling cancer. Childhood Cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the US, yet it receives only 4% of the federal government’s cancer research budget.
At the bake sale, parents will bring in pretend “CCK Dollars” to “buy” the cookies from the 3s, 4s & K children. Actual donations will be made via Venmo prior to or on the day of the sale. Anyone can donate: Venmo @Cookies4kids and write “CCK” in the notes.
