The Episcopal Church: Basics and Beyond (Adult Confirmation)

Are you new to the Episcopal Church or just want to learn more about how we love God, care for each other, and serve the world? This clergy-led class is open to anyone interested in learning more about The Episcopal Church, being confirmed or reaffirmed, or simply getting to know some new faces. We will meet in the Green Room on Sundays during the 10 am School of Faith hour beginning January 26. What is the Bible: an ancient book? The Word of God? Join The Reverend Connor Gwin to explore the story of salvation in scripture and how we can learn to tell the story of God’s love when we read the bible.

March 2- Jesus Christ
Who is Jesus, and why does He matter? Join the Reverend Joshua Case to explore the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how His story continues to shape our faith and our lives today.

March 9 – Church History
Join The Reverend Fred Paschall to hear the fascinating story of how God keeps showing up in the world in particular moments to particular people and how that has shaped the church we know today.

March 16 – The Anglican Way: Praying Shapes Believing
The way we pray together is the best way to understand what we believe together. Join The Reverend Joshua Case to explore the sacramental life and how it changes our everyday life.

March 23 – Practicing the Christian Life
The Christian life is not lived by reading about God, but through a life with God. Join The Reverend Connor Gwin to explore spiritual practices that can help you see God at work in your life today.

March 30 – Discovering Your Gifts
God made the world and called it ‘very good.’ Your gifts are part of the goodness of the world. Join The Reverend Allen Pruitt and Director of Generosity Natalie Akin to explore how you can live your gifts!
