Freedom School

Freedom School Partners (FSP) believes every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading and the confidence to shape their future. Through a six-week summer program, FSP combats learning loss in Charlotte by serving K–8 students who need it most. In partnership, our mission is to inspire scholars to love reading and learning, believe in themselves, and create extraordinary futures. But we can’t do it alone. Volunteers are at the heart of Freedom School. Whether you’re reading with students, supporting classroom activities, or helping behind the scenes, your time and energy make a lasting impact.
