
MVP at Freedom School
As we prepare to host Freedom School at Rama Road Elementary School for another summer, join us at Freedom School’s Latrobe Warehouse to learn about the organization’s mission and do a service project to help the FS team get ready for summer learning.
Things to Note:
- All volunteers must be 16 years or older. Any underage volunteers are welcome, with an accompanying adult.
- Read our Safety and Health Guidelines for FSP Latrobe prior to volunteering (below***).
- Wear appropriate clothing for working in a warehouse space. Our warehouse has concrete floors, so we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes.
- Please note that the warehouse space is cold in the fall/winter and warm in the spring/summer. If you have the ability, you may be asked to lift (or help lift) totes or boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in and prepare for your shift.

staff, volunteers, or visitors to FSP Latrobe follow the safety guidelines below:
- When volunteering at the FSP Latrobe Warehouse volunteers are NOT permitted to use, the ladders to obtain any items needed.
- Please use caution when lifting items.
- If you need assistance lifting anything please ask one of our team members and we would be happy to assist or find an alternative solution.
- Wear closed-toed shoes.
- Please do not wear sandals, flip-flops, or other open-toed shoes in the warehouse space.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Please keep personal items in your vehicle when possible.
- Be sure to clearly mark your personal belongings, including water bottles, with a marker or sticker upon arrival.
