Prayer Vigil of the Reserved Sacrament

On Thursday evening, following the service of Maundy Thursday, parishioners “keep watch” over the Altar of Repose in the Chapel. At the Altar of Repose – a space set aside with the consecrated elements for Good Friday’s service of Holy Eucharist – parishioners keep vigil in silent prayer and adoration, recalling our Lord’s agony in the Garden of Gethsemane and his rebuke to his disciples: “What? Could you not watch one hour with me?”
