Spring is bursting forth! Hope and renewal have been gathering energy in the dormancy of winter and are bursting forth in nature and in our souls.

Adults of all ages are invited to engage the creative energies which springtime inspires through a SoulCollage® workshop. This expressive arts workshop is sponsored by the Center for Wellbeing & Care, and led by Michelle McDevitt-Askew, a SoulCollage® Facilitator and Charlotte-area Marriage and Family therapist.

SoulCollage®is an easy and enjoyable collage process which supports self-discovery and community. Tap into the transformative power of images, imagination, intuition and synchronicity. Participants will create their own decks of collaged cards from provided images.

Here a few Q&A’s from Michelle:

1. What do you recall about the first time you participated in a SoulCollage workshop? I recall being amazed at how simple instruments like a pair of scissors, a glue stick and magazine images could help me slow down and hear what my heart needed to say. For me, it was an experience of the Holy in the ordinary.

2.What particularly delights you about being witness to your workshop participants’ SoulCollage process? I delight in seeing how others awaken to hear something new within them that has been there all along; to see a different perspective or discovery and hear their own wisdom reminding them of who and whose they are.

3. What would you want someone interested in the upcoming April 25th SoulCollage workshop to know about the experience? It’s a lot of fun! It’s almost always surprising and helpful. SoulCollage is not focused on the outcome of the finished card, but on the process of listening and collaborating with your inner artist (we all have one!) and God.
