Arrington Mixon

Transforming Hearts Liaison, Class of 2026

A lifelong Episcopalian, Arrington and her late husband Burch have been members of Christ Church since they were married and moved back to Charlotte in 1991. Arrington has served on the vestry, including as Senior Warden, and chaired the board of Christ Church Foundation and the Outreach Commission. She was a Sunday school teacher in the “early days” and co-chaired several church initiatives, including strategic planning for Leap of Faith and our 75th Anniversary. Arrington and Burch co-chaired the initial work which led to the current Transforming Hearts Campaign. After a three-decade career in banking, Arrington followed her desire to engage more deeply in the community and currently chairs the Board of Governors of Foundation for the Carolinas and is a member of the board of The Leon Levine Foundation and the advisory board of Women’s Impact Fund. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of North Carolina Capital Management Trust. Arrington and Burch have two adult children who were baptized and confirmed at Christ Church, Elise Lipsky and Burch Mixon, Jr.
