Carl Showalter is President of Showalter Construction Company, and has been a member Christ Church for over 40 years, confirmed in 1985. He has served on the Christ Church Kindergarten Board, as a Sunday School teacher, and on numerous commissions. In his prior service on the Vestry, he served as  Junior Warden. Beyond the Church, Carl was on the Board of Trustees at Charlotte Country Day School for 14 years, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Central Piedmont College Foundation Board. He is also a member of the UNC Health Board and the Executive Committee of the Charlotte Ballet. He met his wife, Jane (former Senior Warden), in eighth grade. Their three adult sons, Vic, Ward, and Pete, were all baptized and confirmed at Christ Church.
