Having joined Christ Church in 2018, Laurie is currently serving as a greeter and as a lay delegate representative of Christ Church to the annual Diocesan Convention. In previous years, Laurie served as an offering money counter and on the Liturgical Commission as a member and as Chair. A lifelong Episcopalian, Laurie was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Cathedral in Columbia, South Carolina. An avid camp kid, Laurie attended Camp Kanuga every summer from a very young age and then attended college at Sewanee where she served as a Sacristan at All Saints Chapel. She is the owner and primary therapist for Newcastle Family Therapy, PLLC – a small private practice in Charlotte. Prior to private practice Laurie worked for Atrium Health as a therapist for adolescents and children in both outpatient and intensive outpatient settings. Laurie is a proud dog mom,  godmother, and aunt.
