As the story of God and God’s people, the Bible can speak to you and guide you in ordinary and unexpected ways. Learning and cultivating your knowledge of the Bible is an incredible opportunity to come into God’s presence as you explore, grow, and deepen your faith. The Good Book is open to everyone! Consider inviting a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor to join you and us.

Nursery care is offered in the Nursery Suites (lower level of All Saints’ Hall) for children ages six weeks through four years old while parents are on-site during these times:

Fall/Winter/Spring Schedule (Mid-September to Mid-May)
Worship Services | 8:45 & 11:15 am
Sunday School Hour | 10 am

Summer Schedule (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
Sunday Worship Services | 8:30 & 10:30 am
We ask that families read our Nursery Protocols before coming to the Nursery.

Typical Sunday Morning Procedures
When you sign your child in, you will receive a numbered pager so we can reach you if needed. When checking in your child, please let us know if your child has any allergies or special needs. Children will be released only to an adult with the corresponding pager number.

Staffing & Volunteers
All of our nursery caregivers are trained in CPR and Safe Church policies. Our staff and Nursery Committee of Christ Church parents work to ensure your child experiences a caring and nurturing environment. They can also answer questions regarding your child’s care or other aspects of Christ Church.

Offered most Sundays during the 8:45 am services, Children’s Chapel is an interactive and formative worship experience for children to explore the same Gospel lesson their parents hear during worship. Children follow the banner out of the worship space during the Gospel reading and return to the service during the Peace. Suggested age for children participating is at least 3 years old and older.

The Contemporary Eucharist is a Rite II liturgy from The Book of Common Prayer, combined with music led by the Christ Church band in the relaxed atmosphere of All Saints’ Hall. Click the link to view the livestream.

December 1: The Magnificat
The Magnificat is a passage in the Bible, Luke 1:46-66, where Mary praises God in response to Elizabeth’s words. Mary’s prayer describes God’s care for the lowly, his reversal of human authority, and his frustration of the powerful. Her song has been copied into the Book of Common Prayer and for most Protestant churches is sung during the Advent season. (Led by the Reverend Dr. Scottie Stamper)

December 15: Jesus’ Family Tree
We often skip the “begats” throughout scripture, but they tell a story of surprising grace and unbelievable love, if we just know where to look. Join The Reverend Allen Pruitt for a look at God’s grace in our spiritual family tree.

December 22: What Does It Mean for God to Be Born?
Christianity makes a unique claim: the God of Creation was born into the world, and not in a palace, but in an out of the way barn. Learn the real meaning of Christmas and how it’s even bigger than you ever imagined. (Led by The Reverend Allen Pruitt)

Like the 8:45 AM Holy Eucharist, the 11:15 AM service includes scripture, a sermon, communion, and music. At this service, congregational hymns are traditional and the Christ Church Choir and Choristers (children) offer a broad range of choral music.

For young children and families, this service is a modified, slightly abbreviated Holy Eucharist. Music is child-friendly, with both traditional and contemporary songs. A mix of parents, grandparents, and children offer joyful praise in this welcoming environment.

Extend hospitality with us! Every Sunday, December through March, Christ Church (along with over 100 other churches and organizations) provides emergency winter shelter for 12 unsheltered neighbors (men, women, and/or families). Parishioners offer hospitality to those who have no place to call home. This is a great volunteer opportunity for families, especially those with young children.

Volunteers are the heart of this ministry. Every week we need people to fill the following roles:

• Set up (4 – 6 volunteers; 4:30 – 6 pm)
• Dinner (4 – 6 volunteers; 5:30 – 7 pm)
• Overnight Hosts age 21+ (2 volunteers; 7 pm – 7 am)
• Van Drivers (2 trained volunteers; pick up van at Christ Church at 4:45 pm on Sunday and 5:45 am on Monday to drive guests to and from the Roof Above Center.)
• Breakfast (2 volunteers)
• Supply bag lunches (1 – 2 volunteers)
